For my film i will need something odd and off beat. I need something non-copy write that reflect the mood of the film, it can be too distracting either, it needs to emphasise the visuals and not negate from them.
Two possible songs are, Darkest child var a or Foolishness and it will give a dark and melodic tone to the opening, this will be creepy, dark and sorrow full. This will enhance the psychopathic nature of the character.
If I wish to have a more quirky and happy mood to the opening it will use something like confounded (These are all non-copyright).
Having a lighter, happier song will make the opening a completely different piece to if it were to be a more serious film. If I use a happy up-beat song, this will make the character seem far more likable and less intense or insane, it will add a juxtaposition to the film as the visuals and the audio will not match, the disconnected choice of songs will make the character seem more uncaring and disconnected to humanity. This will make it seem less real and like a drama and have more of a comedy element. The song choice I pick will determine the elements of the film and the sub genre it is in. i wont to try and stay away from the comedy side of the and go toward the eerie psychopathic feel.
I choose to create my own soundtrack using ablton sound audio editing software, this allowed me have a sound track ideal for the mood of the clip. i choose to have it a darker more melodic sound to go with the dark and slow editing planed. i used a various of random sound and warped them into static fairly random and disconnected collaboration of sound. This dis-joined sound help it seem off key and makes the opening feel off key with the normal world.
