Evaluation 1

-The Title of the film uses a font similar to that of the credits making it seem connected, it keeps the same typewriter like style; the same black and white simple look. having it on a separate black frame to most of the other credits helps conclude the scene and end the opening.

- Setting and location I chose under a bridge in the back of a park, I felt, was appropriate for a psychological thriller with the more industrious looking estate behind the character and the nice looking trees and park with children play equipment in front of him. I chose this boundary point between to places to try and encourage a feeling that the character cant move into the nicer area and the character who is walking toward the darker looking area and obstructing the main characters view of the nicer world.

-Costume and props we chosen to make the characters seem as normal a possible wearing everyday clothing appropriate for my target audiences age group; as they are most likely students and probable don't wear suits or overalls everyday. The main character has very long and unmanaged hair making him look more disconnected to the world. the other character is wearing a thick coat suggesting the weather is cold, but the main character wears just a t-shirt, this also was put in to enhance a feeling of his disconnected reality. The second character also has a bag on, this gives clues as to the rough age of the character; he might  be a school or college student, making it more relatable to the target audience.

-Camerawork and editing had the biggest impact as they changed the feel of the location and moods of the characters. The way i have chosen to colour balance the opening to have high blue and general grey overtone is there to try and see the world as the main character dose and see the darker view that he might have.

-The story that i tried to set up was that of an unstable and delusional character, who see the world differently to most the nature of the character is show by the way he acts when he sees another person and hides behind a tree, not very well, and is oblivious to the fact that he was seen. When he realises he is being watched he decides to grab a rock and confront the person. This sense of dissolution is added to by the editing and the off colour balance.

-Genre is suggested through the actions of the character and the way in which he views situations. what would be normal for most people and very easy to understand; he reacts in a very unusual way and a seemingly deluded manner.
