Evaluation 7
I have learnt in more depth how film and television shows are made and the time it can take to do the shots for just a few seconds. I have learnt more about mes en scene and how you can prompt certain emotional responses by having certain object or even angle on the shot. I learnt the methods in which many companies try to promote their films to attract a specific audience, through the institutions which represent them. Looking back on my preliminary task, what i feel i have learnt in the progression from the preliminary task to the final product. I now know that if i were to make it again I would want to increase the pace of the opening by adding more shots to the opening, more thing happening, more props, more moment and a more vocal script. I feel the story arc is not as clear as it could be to deal with this I would have to redo my all the work in post production from the story board creation and add in more purposeful shots and remove some more static ones. I learnt new editing methods using adobe premium pro, like layering clips to create a smoother transition. I have tried to obey by rules and conventions like the 180 degree rule and matched the shots to help minimize confusion on audience location in the opening. I used the shot reverse shot technique well without it becoming messy. I did not have a tripod so the shots were very shaky but i have minimized this as much as i can in editing. Next time i would make shore i have a tripod and higher quality camera to use.

What have I learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product.
To edit I used adobe premium pro video editing software as it is highly rated online and has many features for editing which I need as my film was edited heavily; It has the necessary hue and contrast editing tools that I need for my strange dream world. Tools like the colour balncer were used to enhance the blues and lower the levels. I have changed the lens type and the focusing as well as the colour editing and zooming for the dream world sequences. I used a light editing tool to change the light levels and add exra directional light. This tool was perticualy useful in helping lighten areas which needed it and clarify the location more. without it i would have lost alot of deatail needed for the mes en scene. Using adobe premium pro gave my far more tools to fine tune my clips and help sync it with the music I used it t edit in titles and change the view point. Abode has variouse sound editing tools to help fine tune and tweak the sound; i used these tools to remove the unwanted backround noise for the opening 2 minuetes and change the tempo and volume of the song at the specificly chossen points. I used some of the pre-made special effect tools in adobe premium pro for transitions and scene editing; tools like the "dip to black" were used to slowly cut from one shot to another when needed and from the production company logo to the first film scene, this gives a slower feel to the opening. This all helps to enhance the feel and emotion of the film and to help give it a more professional look.
In the creation of the sound track I used many seperate and fairly random sounding sound to try and create a disconected and rough sound, but i recorded it on one levle and did not master it as well as i could have. If I could do this project again I would add a more vocal script to add more depth to the story line and would give me more than one sound track to edit. I would record my sound track in multiple seperate parts and edit them together on my computer to have a richer and clearer sound.
I have used Bad Robot films to be my production company as they have made films with a similar feel as mine and their production company logo fits very well with the music and mood of the opening as it is also quite dark mysteriousness.

Target Audience.
This is my target audience, they aged between 15 and 25 years old.
They would be typical movie going young people, they would like films with lots going on (visually and
sub-textually) big budget films like inception and tron legacy would be great examples of this; but films like silver linings playbook and the perks of being a wallflower would also be popular as the characters have more depth and the story more meaning, even if there is less actually happening. They would typically listen to bands like biffy clyro, blur, foo fighters, gorillaz and muse as these are very popular with this age range, they would most likely watch TV shows like Game of thrones, breaking bad and the walking dead as these are very popular show and the viewer will watch them simply because a friend told them to.
They are typically the main audience of films like Avatar, transformers and other big blockbuster films. They typically enjoy films with lots for thing happening, and something cool to look at. They will be the majority viewers for Television channels like BBC 3 which is targeted specifically for this audience of younger people.
This is one of the largest audiences there are and is the majority of cinema goers.

A production company funds the film, they give the film credibility under there established name and usually create the advertising campaign. without them the massive budgets for film we have today would simply not exist.
Bad robot is a well known in cult cinema and has built a name for it self as a sponsor and create of some of the best films of the modern time, specializing in films with a darker more psychological twist. Fox has bean around for a long time and is one of the most universality recognizable titles in the industry, they have funded 1000's of film and most of them well revived massive blockbusters. These two film companies give my film a huge sense of credibility with both cult audiences of Bad robot (giving a sign of film depth quality) and the bulk masses of fox's audience, giving a sign of mass awareness through a huge budget and the potential for a hugely anticipated film. Fox gives my film the funding it needs and bad Robot my target audience credibility.

20th century fox is the source of the money for my film, although they would have some help funding parts from bad robot fox is the larger and more profitable company, with more money to gamble on a film.
the actors are usually the first to appear in the titles as they are the ones you see and the stars you read and hear about. they are usually a reason allot of people go to see a film as the actors name can hold just as much credibility as a production company. Actors normally have a clause in their contracts to have their names shown on a separate slide to any other actors names and have their names appear only when their character appears on screen, as not to be overshadowed. I have shown my actors names on screen first to show this convention, and having only their names appear on screen as their character appears. Then comes the various crew that help film organize and edit the film, these are less important and not usually the ones people pay attention to, but in most films they descend in order of importance to the film. I showed some roles like casting and editing which are important as the next up and descended in order to the producers and executive producers. The final title i showed was the director; this is not usually shown last but as they are not a know director I thought it would not matter as much and they are a significant enough to end the scene on.
Evaluation 2
-Character intro-
Character type
The main character of my film is a disturbed and extremely troubled, much like the main character from American psycho. They both go around killing people for no apparent reason. They are not completely similar the character form American psycho takes pleasure in the killing of others, and my character only kills from a false, senses of defense he kills because he believe they are trying to kill him. The American psycho is a revenge killer and revenge broke him. my character is a paranoid hallucinogenic schizophrenic.

The joker from the dark knight is also similar to my character they are both seemingly insane and want to watch the world burn for no apparent reason making them extremely intriguing and creates an audience curiosity about motives of the character. The joker unlike the american psycho has a far more disheveled look about him; the connotation of this is he has been in this mental state for a while and no longer cares to look normal. Whereas the american psycho is very well groomed and smartly dressed; connotations of this suggest he has only just broken and descended to a maddening state. My character is more like the joker in this scene as they have both supposedly been in this mental state for some time.
